55 STEPS
1. The first step is to open Google Drive and click New
2. Click Google Slides
3. Click File
4. Click Page setup
5. Click arrow option
6. Click Custom
7. Set your desired size.
(Recommend 5x5)
Click Apply
8. Click Shape or Image to use for your button.
9. Click Slide
10. Click File
11. With your mouse, hover Download
12. Click JPEG image
13. Go to your Canvas course and click Pages
14. Click Add a page
15. Title your Homepage
16. Click Table
17. With your mouse, hover Table
18. Choose your table demensions.
19. Click Image Button
20. Click Upload Image
21. Click Upload Image
22. Choose your image and click Submit
23. Repeat for the buttons you want to add in the same row.
24. Click </>Switch to raw html editor
25. Click </>Switch to rich text editor
26. Click Table
27. Click Table properties
28. Click Border width
29. Type 0 to make your table invisible to students
30. Select Alignment to Center
31. Click Save
32. Resize each image manually by clicking the corner and dragging. (It doesn't matter how much)
33. Click </>Switch to raw html editor
34. Change Table width to 100%
35. Change width of each image to "100%"
36. Change "Height" to make sure the height of each image is the same. (Recommend between 150-300)
37. Click </>Switch to rich text editor
38. Click image you want to link to an external link.
39. Click Link Image
40. Click External Links
41. Click and paste the external link.
42. Click Done
43. Click the image you want to link to a place in the course.
44. Click LINK image
45. Click Course Links
46. Click the area you want to link the button to.
47. Click the specific page, module, quiz, assignment you want to link the button to.
48. Click Save
49. From your designated Homepage, click Settings
50. Click Use as Front Page
51. Click Home
52. Click Choose Home Page
53. Click Pages Front Page to use as your Home Page
54. Click Save
55. That's it. You're done.
